The current owner is the great-grandson of the maker. The quilt was made by Mrs. Robert Adolphus Smith, from Baskin, LA. It was then passed down to her son, Oscar Smith, who took it to Arkansas. In 1934, he passed it on to his daughter, Bobbie Smith Coco, who moved to Avoyelles Parish with it. When Bobbie Coco died in 1969, she passed the quilt to her son, Robert, who is the current owner.
