Contemporary Chinese patchwork quilt, two sided. One side of the quilt is made entirely of small economy blocks in a star pattern, roughly 4", without sashing. The blocks are made from mostly brightly colored solids in a variety of materials, cotton and synthetic. The other side of the quilt has a large red cotton block in each corner, embroidered in multi-colored thread the image of dragon and bird, panda, butterfly and frog. There are two large blocks in the center of the quilt that contain round medallions, containing appliqued animals (cats and a frog on the left side - birds, pandas and a frog on the right side). Both medallions are heavily embroidered, and embellished with a border of folded points. The quilt has a 4" blue cotton solid border on both sides.
