Features or notes about the quilt's appearance, materials, or construction:
Contemporary Chinese patchwork quilt, two sided. One side of the quilt is made entirely of small economy blocks in a star pattern, roughly 4", without sashing. The blocks are made from mostly brightly colored solids in a variety of materials, cotton and synthetic. The other side of the quilt has six large red cotton blocks, four embroidered in multi-colored thread the image of a dragon and two with the image of pandas with bamboo. There are two large blocks in the center of the quilt that contain round medallions, containing appliqued animals (cats and a frog on the right side - birds, pandas and a frog on the left side). Both medallions are heavily embroidered, and embellished with a triple border of folded points. The rest of the blocks on this side of the quilt are made of economy blocks, star pattern. The quilt has a 1 1/4" blue cotton solid border on this side, and a wide 7" blue border on the other side.
