Each block has a stuffed, three-dimensional insect or amphibian attached, surrounded with embroidery. The other side of the quilt has a nine large red cotton blocks, each machine-embroidered in multi-colored thread the image of dragons, and frog with flowers. There are four large blocks in the center of the quilt that contain round medallions, containing appliqued animals (pandas, a frog and butterfly). Both medallions are heavily embroidered, and embellished with a border of folded points. The quilt has a red cotton solid border on both sides. The medallions are backed with a stiff crinkly plastic.
