Baby quilt made by Joyce Goode c. 2015. Joyce regularly gave baby quilts to MSU College of Human Medicine students who had babies. This one was also intended for that purpose but Joyce died of a rare form of dementia in June of 2016. Joyce also regularly made quilts for a neo-natal center at St. Mary's Hospital in San Fransisco, CA where she and her husband, Dr. Merton Goode (also a grad of MSU's College of Human Medicine) and a major donor to MSU, lived. On Sept. 23, 2016 Merton presented this quilt to the MSU Museum along with Joyce's obituary, photos of Joyce, and a news clipping. A photograph of the presentation with Merton's brother, Dr. Michael Goode and Dr. Lou Anna Simon, is attached here. It was taken by Cr. Clare Luz.. His address is Dr. Merton Goode
