The top is covered with embroidered scenes and images of objects and animals in black embroidery floss. The embroideries are evenly spaced into rows. Scenes and images include: hunting polar bear, seals and whales; harvesting blubber from a whale; doing laundry in a tub; traditional dwellings; ice dwelling; children playing games; people in kayaks; driver and sled team; woman with fishing line; harpoon points, ulu and knife, shoes; sled pulled by reindeer; polar bear hunting seal; wildlife. The backing is folded over to the top to form a binding, which is embellished with cross stitch at the edges in black thread.
