Victorian Era Crazy Quilt Created by the hand of Edna Lula McCrea (born 1878), circa 1900, prior to her marriage to Lewis G. Bush March 30, 1904. The observed their 50th Anniversary three months before her death. Notes: Masonic ribbon dated 1891. Frayed fabrics are over-dyed silks. Each corner block is unique. The embroidered rings in each corner represent Masonic symbols (her father was a high ranking Mason). Crocheted edging makes this quilt unique, and represents Edna’s excellent skills at all needle arts. She never sat down without picking up some “fancy work” (her term).
