Describe anything about the design of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

First made some tumbling blocks, tired of that, so incorporated them with center star to use as a medallion. Designed the rest of quilt around it. Corners are pieced. Then everything (Medallion, strips and corners) were appliqued to background pieces, then quilted. I prefer appliquing to piecing.

Describe any favorite patterns, tools, etc. used by the quiltmaker:

Traditional patterns. An interest in history. Plenty of quilting. Don't care much for quilts which look like pictures with great unquilted expanses in them
