Puff quilts are not quilts strictly speaking since there is not a layer of batting between a top and a back. A wad of cotton is encased in a single unit (a puff or biscuit) and then the individual units are attached together to make a quilt top. This quilt has 1026 puffs, 2" x 2" in size.
