The following information was supplied by the quiltmaker: Where did you learn the pattern? "I collected various applique patterns from books, magazines, and friends." How did you choose the materials used in your quilt? "My daughter-in-law loves the peach, and pale green colors." This quilt is a commemoration of "love for my daughter-in-law." How long have you been making quilts? How did you learn to quilt? "Since 1981. I took at quilting course at the Charleston, SC museum." What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "I entered the contest on a lark, or curiosity. It was my first and last entry in a contest." Has being a winner in the Land's End contest made a difference in your life? Has it changed the way you look at your work as a quilt maker? "Yes. Comparing my quilts with my friends' quilts I always felt like a beginner. I now feel more confident about my quiltmaking."
