"photo in magazine (my blocks are not arranged like the photo I saw --but I did use the same block pattern)." "Special labels are attached to the back of the quilt." How did you choose the materials used in your quilt? "Most of the fabrics are 100% cotton, hand dyed pieces from 'Cherrywood Fabrics, Inc.' in Brainerd, Minnesota." How long have you been making quilts? "Since 1991." How did you learn to quilt? "Books, TV shows, classes, and practice!" What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "Entered on a 'dare'! Yes, I enjoy showing my quilts." Has being a winner in the Land's End contest made a difference in your life? Has it changed the way you look at your work as a quilt maker? "It definitely validated my 'hobby.'"
