The following information was supplied by the quiltmaker: This quilt was made for a "quilt challenge contest at local fabric store." How did you choose the materials used in your quilt? "Some fabrics were part of the challenge and were madatory. I did not like them, so I added many others to it." How long have you been making quilts? "10 yrs." How did you learn to quilt? "Classes and self-taught." What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "I entered for all of the above. I used to enter many competitions, but have stopped due to the costs involved." Has being a winner in the Land's End contest made a difference in your life? Has it changed the way you look at your work as a quilt maker? "It is nice to be recognized with other award winning quilters."
