Pieces in the stars are outline quilted, with parallel lines through the centers and double parallel lines in the white squares and triangles that finish the star. Feather wreaths are quilted in the alternate plain squares.

Mary Estella Parkinson Jenkins and her daughter Bessie Pearl Jenkins Noble made this quilt. This quilt is an exact copy of the original quilt that was made 1870-1880 and used on the same guest bed. The original quilt was made by Rowena Noble, who died in 1886. Estella and Bessie liked the original so much they made this copy when the original wore out. The feathered star was always the pattern used on the guest bed. The quilt was owned by Eunice Hoppe, the daughter of Bessie Pearl.
