This Whig Rose variation quilt is hand appliqued and pieced of solid and geometric prints in red, green and off-white with an appliqued border. The applique is attached with blind stitches. Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Carol Spitz of Lakewood, CO. Ownership/History: Made in Illinois by Isabella Campbell, originally of Allegheny, PA, probably when she lived in Illinois. Backing possibly homespun. Maker's signature in black ink on back of quilt. LocMade: unknown
