Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is had pieced from striped, checked, flowered, geometric, and dotted fabrics in red, pink, and navy. The batting is polyester. The binding is rose colored dotted swiss fabric with mitered corners and is attached by hand. The quilt is hand quilted with white cotton thread. The stitching is uneven 5 stitches per inch. The backing is a dark green and tan striped cotton whole cloth. Ownership/History: Quilt top (fabric c. 1890) found in a house in St. Louis, MO c.1975 by Eugenia Mitchell's son. Bonnie Myers, a friend of Eugenia's, then backed and quilted it in 1978 in Golden, CO. LocMade: (multiple)
