This quilt is a simple on-patch design that was used and handed down through four generations of women before being donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Doris Southworth of Arvada, CO, who was the great-granddaughter of the maker. Ownership/History: Made in Illinois by Polly Stanger (1826-1898) and used in her family for four generations. The quilt waas given to Polly's daughter, Josephine Stanger McReynolds (1859-1936), who gave it to her daughter, who gave it to her daugher Doris Southworth LocMade: ///IL//United States
