This quilt was made c.1935 by the donor's mother, Mabel Pierce. The blocks, over 200 in number, were hand- and machine-pieced from assorted cotton scraps and a solid white for the background. Alovely, colorful quilt, typical of 1930s. HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Albert Pierce of San Mateo, CA. Ownership/History: Made by Mabel Pierce of Denver, CO. Donated to the museum by the maker's son, Albert Pierce. LocMade: Denver/Denver//CO//United States
