One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand appliqued with pre-printed panels in red and white fabrics with a red checkered border. The batting is polyester. The binding was made by folding the backing over, with mitered corners. The quilt is hand quilted with cross hatching, using white cotton thread. The stitches are even 5 to the inch. The backing is red check cotton/polyester fabric. Embroidered on the front in white thread is "Eugenia Mitchell 1977." Ownership/History: Made by Eugenia Mitchell in 1977. LocMade: Golden///CO//USA
