Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand pieced of solid, checked, and geometric fabrics in red, blue, and gray, with red border. The batting is polyester. The binding is hand and machine attached red purchased bias tape. The quilt is hand quilted around the pattern pieces, with flowers in the plain blocks, and diamonds in the border, using white cotton thread. The stitching is even 6 stitches to the inch. The backing is machine pieced pink and white print cotton fabric. Ownership/History: Original maker unknown. Eugenia Mitchell purchased the quilt top at the Salvation Army Store in East Denver, added backing and batting, then sent it to Teresa and Mary Rose Shultz of Calhoun, KY, who quilted and finished it. The top is of unknown provenance. LocMade: unknown
