One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand pieced of solid and geometric fabrics in red and white. The batting is cotton. The binding is hand attached striped cotton with mitered and rounded corners. The quilt is hand quilted overall in diagonal patterns. The quilting is uneven at 3 to 5 stitches to the inch, using white cotton thread. The backing is hand pieced white cotton. Ownership/History: Maker unknown. Eugenia Mitchell purchased the quilt at a thrift store in Denver, CO for $20 in May 1983. LocMade: unknown
