Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is machine pieced of solid and checked fabrics in red, pink, and off-white with off-white sashing and border. The batting is a sheet blanket. The binding is the backing folded to the front with mitered corners. It is hand quilted around the pattern pieces, and with diamond chain in the sashing and cable pattern in the border. The quilting is even at 4 stitches to the inch, done with white thread. The backing is machine pieced off-white cotton. Ownership/History: Eugenia Mitchell created this quilt in 1975 because she liked the song "Windmills of My Mind". At the same time, the Quilters of Nebraska were creating an almost identical quilt. The Nebraska quilt was published in "Quilters Newsletter Magazine". LocMade: Golden///CO//USA
