In the white blocks are hand-embroidered flowers and the names of the months. The batting is polyester. The binding is the backing turned to the front and hand attached with mitered corners. The quilt is hand quilted with crosshatching in the embroidered blocks, and hearts and scrolls in the solid blocks. The quilting is even at 5 stitches to the inch, done with yellow cotton/polyester thread. The backing is machine pieced off-white cotton muslin.
