One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This is a wholecloth quilt with hand appliqued boquets made of solid fabrics in blue, white, and pink, with hand embroidery decoration. The batting is polyester. The binding is blue bias cut cotton with rounded corners. The quilt is hand quilted in the pre-marked pattern of diamonds, coils, and diagonals. The quilting is uneven at 3 to 4 stitches to the inch, done with white cotton thread. The backing is whole cloth white cotton/polyester. Donated to RMQM by Pansy Hook family Applique and quilting by Eugenia Mitchell 1985-1990. HowAcquired: donation Ownership/History: Made by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO from a kit. A section of the kit fabric is stitched to the back on the quilt in a corner and contains the following information: Prgress #1345 Bow Knot Quilt 81 x 99. LocMade: Golden///CO//USA
