Describe anything about the design of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

During the hurricane of 2004 here in Florida our home was all boarded up. It was dark & depressing. I asked my husband to plug my sewing machine, a light & ironing board to the generator. I started this quilt. When the top was done I showed it to my husband who asked me what I was going to call this quilt. I said, "I don't know yet" He pointed at the center of each block and said, "Do you recognize that symbol?" I immediately knew; it was the symbol that the meteorologists used on the TV news to tell us where the hurricanes were on the map. So it was that I called it "Hurricane Quilt".
