My maternal grandmother (Nora Lou Candill) was an avid quilter, my mother Geneva (Candill) Dean Stark made a few, and my mother-in-law Bessie (Horton) Gosney quilted one for each family member, usually for use-flannel, corduroy, and her favorite cotton-pinwheel design.
