Kaye Wood & Nancy Zieman were my first inspiration outside Desoto, IL and the talents of my paternal Aunt Delcie Deason, an accomplished seamstress in all types of sewing. My first sewing project was a pieced drawstring purse in 7th grade (age 12), made from Mom's scrap bag that included clothing from my childhood feedsacks she had from the farm. Passion for color & textiles.

Strip and paper piecing by machine, (usually) simple machine quilting with occasional forays into emblishment and free motion with widely varied specialty threads.

I began making baby quilts as our friends procreated, partly to be frugal but also to make a unique gift.

This quilt was finished just in time for the challenge deadline during our camping vacation at Lake Superior Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada (East Shore Lake Superior). It was machine pieced and quilted entirely on my White jean's machine. This was completed using a power converter attached to our car battery at above campsite.
