3rd Place Winner: Members' Choice Awards

One of my earliest memories is of sitting with my grandmother while she hand-pieced scrap quilts, so I chose a scrap quilt as my inspiration for this piece. The quilt is constructed from true scraps, left over from another project. Although I love improvisational piecing and the modern quilt aesthetic, much of the history of quilting involves precisely pieced designs, which is why I chose this little star as my focal point.
