Artist's Statement:

The thought of this design came spontaneously into my head after perusing some of the quilts contained in the Quilt Index. Although several caught my attention, I was mainly taken by the simplicity and geometry of the octagons depicted in some of the quilts. So when I saw the quilt that ultimately served as my inspiration, "Garden Twist", I knew I had found it.
