Artist's Statement:

I have been thinking about string quilts lately. Edith and Edna Monteith's Stringtop was just the inspiration I needed to finally explore string quilt design. It was so much fun, I made two! Strings I is a selection of strips placed randomly with little concern for light and dark values. Strings II has definite light and dark placements. The spiral quilting design is a reminder to look within.
