Artist's Statement:

While creating my quilt, I worked solely with scraps and tried to emulate the multitude of flowers without it becoming a replica. This quilt was largely created on my back deck with my children playing in the yard – many of the details were done by hand. The applique as needle turned with thick perle cotton. After hand quilting this piece, I embellished with see beads in an effort to create more depth.
