Old-Time Nosegay - Leaflet No. 21

By Edith B. Crumb.

Here is the trillium, the seventh border flower, and as it will appear twice on the bottom border as well as once on each side, you will require four of this pattern. Since there are 12 flowers in this bottom strip and since the strip is bilaterally symmetrical there must be two of each one of the bottom border flowers.

The trilliums may be developed in soft pinks, or in lavenders or blues. As a rule the three small petals showing timidly in the indentations of the three large top petals are of a deeper shade than the main petals. Or it is quite permissible to make the flowers lavender and the petals pink, or vice versa. The center of the flower is a nice shiny yellow.
