Announcement for a quilt exhibit.

Quilt Exhibit in Tuley Park This Evening

The Woodfield Woman's Club announces the showing of a Quilt exhibit to be held in Tuley Park fieldhouse on Thursday, February 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friends and former neighbors of Mrs. Mary Gasperik will be happy to hear that her collection of beautiful quilts, many of which are original and have won blue ribbons, will be among the twenty-five or more to be exhibited. Miss Marjorie Klock, 722 E. 89th place, will exhibit a hand-made quilt, made by one of her ancestors over a hundred and fifty years ago.

Those in charge of the exhibit are Mrs. Elmer Gasperik, 3725 N. Elston ave., Mrs. Robert Moore, 556 E. 89th place, Mrs. Robert Maier, 632 E. 88th place, Mrs. Henry Coppock, Jr., 1410 E. 88th st., and Mrs. Charles Chuck, 8518 Vernon ave.

The tickets are priced at thirty-five cents, including refreshments, and all proceed will go into a philanthropic fund. Peter Demkowicz, 1125 E. 93rd st. and M. E. Walter, grocers of this neighborhood, along with Cora's Bakery, 9100 Cottage Grove ave., have graciously donated the refreshments.

A Smorgasbord Dinner at "A Bit of Sweden" was enjoyed by members of the Woodfield Woman's Club on Monday evening, February 21. Many of the members completed their evening by seeing a movie or play. An evening out for busy clubwomen is an annual event of this organization and something to look forward to. Mrs. R. K. Holman, 822 E. 90th st., was in charge of reservations.
