Stephen Gasperiks' Will Celebrate Golden Wedding

Mr. & Mrs. Stephen Gasperik of 1411 West 174th Street, East Hazelcrest, will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary, Sunday, November 18th. The occasion will be marked by a dinner at Nielsen's Restaurant at 79th and Western, attended by an intimate family group.

Mr. Gasperik, 74, and Mrs. Gasperik, 68, were born in Hungary. They met and married on Chicago's West Side. Mr. Gasperik retired from the grocery and market at 9314 Cottage Grove in 1948 after suffering a stroke. In earlier years he owned the Auburn Heights Dairy Company. Mrs. Gasperik, besides working in the store with her husband, made herself a name in her own right as a prolific quilter with outstanding ability. Every one of her more than 35 quilts are prize winners, mostly of first and second quality. She is, also, well known for her beautiful garden.

The couple have two sons and a daughter, Stephen J. and Elmer L. Gasperik, and Mrs. Maynard C. Krueger of the University of Chicago. There are nine grandchildren. Mrs. Gasperik's younger sister and her husband, Mr. & Mrs. Guy Bright will, also, attend the dinner.
