Dear Mrs. Gasperik,
I am the daughter of Bertha Stenge, and have come across your address in her little book. I do not know if you were one of her quilt fans but I have some very sad news to tell you.

We lost my mother on June 18, after a very short illness with cancer. I don’t know how well you knew that remarkable little woman, but my mother was really a great person, not only for her quilts but in every way possible.

If I can ever be of any help I have been named the Executor of her Estate, and if you care to write me at any time, please do not hesitate.

It is difficult for me to write anything else since I do not know just who you are.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Prudence Fuchsmann
