Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field.

This quilt is a family heirloom made by my grandmothers grandmother who lived in southern Alabama. During the Civil War the family silver and other valuables were wrapped in the quilt, placed in an iron pot and burried in the ground to keep the Yankee troops from plundering.
