Inner border is cream silk, heavily quilted with a feather vine and echo quilting. Outer border appears to be one piece of fabric (similar to a ruffle) with gold embroidery.

The back appears to have been quilted separately from the top (perhaps the back was once a separate quilt?). There is an eagle motif on the back, with a shield body and a plume in its beak. There are also stuffed grapes, grape vines, and grape leaves.
