This is from the Estate of Sharon Newman collection. Credit Line: "In Memory of Sharon Lea Hicks Newman" Quilt. Full Blown Tulip or King David's Crown. 74 1/2" x 89"; predominant colors of white, red, yellow, and green. Thirty pieced and appliqued blocks, 15" square, set 5 x 6, no sashing. Block consists of eight green diamond points, eight red half circle applique, four oval of gold on white print, appliqued on white background. Quilt published in "Vintage Quilts" by Bobbie Aug, Sharon Newman and Gerald Roy, page 47, #C HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by the Sharon Newman Estate Ownership/History: Made by Ella Wikham.
