This quilt was given to the Huguenots Historical Society by Raymond Hasbrouck Augustus who believes that one of his aunt's on his father's side made this quilt. This quilt will remain in the Hasbrouck Family Collection at the Huguenots Historical Society.

The quiltmaker was of French Huguenot descent and she was one of six sisters. The quiltmaker's parents were most likely farmers and small business owners. There were probably many other quilters in the family who learned through tradition.
