The photo shows the first place winners of the 1933 Sears National Quilt Contest on display in 1934 when the Century of Progress Exposition opened for a second summer. Sears requested that the top regional winners loan their quilts for the special exhibit. The quilt at the far left might be Star of the Bluegrass, the grand prize winner.
