Virginia Gunn, the editor of Uncoverings, has a M.S. in clothing and textiles and a Ph.D. in history. She is a professor of Clothing, Textiles, and Interiors and the interim director of the School of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Akron in Ohio. Her research focuses on women's history and on nineteenth- and twentieth-century American textiles, costume, and decorative arts.
