By: Cawley, Lucinda R.

Lucinda Reddington Cawley is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. A native of Scranton, PA, she has been fascinated by Pennsylvania quilts since she began making and collecting quilts in the late 1970s. In 1997 she co-authored Saved For The People of Pennsylvania: Quilts From The State Museum of Pennsylvania. The research for that publication sparked an interest in Pennsylvania friendship quilts and for the past five years has been focused on quilts inscribed in fractur letters.
