By: McAllen, Ronda
Ronda McAllen is the State Compliance Officer for American Homestar Corporation in League City, Texas. She is also pursuing her certification as a professional genealogist from the Board for Certification of Genealogists. She majored in Photojournalism at the University of Houston. Her love of sewing began early in her life when her grandmother, Pearl Harrell, taught her to sew Barbie clothes. Ronda learned quilting in 1989 when her husband, David, asked her to make quilt from t-shirts he collected at concerts and lOK runs. Quilting and studying quilt history quickly became her passions. McAllen lives in Pearland, Texas, with David and her daughter, Salome.
