Jonathan Gregory is pursuing a doctorate in human sciences with a specialization in textiles, clothing, and design at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He serves as curatorial assistant at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum, where he con­tributed to American Quilts in the Modern Age, 1870-1940 and co­curated the accompanying exhibition. Gregory authored "The Joy of Beauty: The Creative Life and Quilts of Rose Kretsinger" in Uncoverings 2007 and a chapter on war-time quiltmaking in Speaking the Unspeakable: Maternal Experiences of Trauma (forthcoming). Gregory earned a master's degree in textile history with an empha­sis on quilt studies from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a bachelor's degree in human resources management from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas.

​When AQSG added Uncoverings articles to the Quilt Index, they omitted all the illustrations, for lack of permissions. Although the articles found in the QI (1980-2010, 2012-2016) lack illustrations, they link to quilts, essays, special collections, and documentation projects across the Quilt Index, introducing them to a wider audience. The permission issues have since been resolved and in 2024, AQSG completed adding all the Uncoverings volumes from 1980-2023 to the Digital Commons@University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
