Sharon Fulton Pinka is an independent quilt researcher and holds a B.S.E.D. in English from Ohio University and an M.S. in educational media from Bowling Green State University. Sharon retired as a junior high English teacher/librarian and has a strong interest in Ohio history, antiques, woven coverlets, and quilts. Her writings focus on embroidered quilts, summer spreads, and Civil War-related quilt stories. She serves on The Quilters Hall of Fame and the AQSG Board of Directors and is a trustee for the Richland County Museum. Her work has appeared in Blanket Statements, Quiltmania magazine, Pieces of Time magazine and the Ohio Genealogical Society newsletter. Her earlier article "William Pinch and the Rainbow Quilt Block Company" appeared in Uncoverings 2009.
