Horoscope Quilt Pattern - Pattern No. 6
Gemini
May 22 to June 21

The figure in the old almanac from which today's design is taken shows that the ruling constellation of stars from May 22 to June 21 is known as twins or brothers. When the people of long ago spent the evening before the camp fire looking up in the sky, they saw that the brightest group of stars looked like twins so they called it "Gemini."

This week's conventional or zodiac sign shows twin figures, joining forces or holding hands, as it were.

Gemini people are said to have a love for orange color, so you may plan to make the applique figure of an orange figured print. Be sure the color fast is fast and the pattern exceedingly small. Too large a pattern will destroy the design. Of course, you may use plain white for all the appliques, Aries, Taurus, Gemini and the rest to come. It is a matter of preference and of goods on hand.

Remember, no allowance has been made for turning under edges, so allow a quarter of an inch on all sides in cutting.

Put this together and be all ready for the four characteristics which will be ready next week.
