Horoscope Quilt Pattern No. 17
Scorpio
Oct. 24 to Nov. 22

By Edith B. Crumb

Such an array of animals as the ancients thought they saw in the arrangements of stars in the sky!

Thus far we have had the ram, the bull, the crab and the lion, and this week we have the scorpion. There are still other creatures in the starry zoo.

Surely the ancients were possessed with imagination. They must have passed on their beliefs to their descendants, for no one generation could have built up all the astrological lore that has been handed down to us.

The zodiac sign in today's picture does not look much like any special animal, but wait until you get to the border and see the scorpion that you will have to embroider.

In working out this week's design no directions are required, for you have made so many of the blocks that by now they must just whiz along because you are so familiar with the method.

Any kind of print you may wish to use for this design will be appropriate and attractive. Just study the colors you now have and find something that will harmonize with the general scheme.

The Daily Horoscope is a fascinating feature which appears every day on the Women's Pages of The Detroit News - The Home Newspaper.
