Is your kitchen all dressed up for spring and summer in every detail? If it has decorative motifs on the tea towels you may rest assured that nothing has been overlooked to give it that final touch that is so necessary to have it a really successful room.

In the large accompanying illustration are shown three motifs that would be attractive for tea towels, especially the upper and lower ones; and while that at the right side is not quite as appropriate it would be a very pretty one to use.

French Knot Ribbon
The ribbon in the upper part of the illustration might be made with French knots, a simple etching stitching being used for the knife, fork and spoon. Just think! You could really finish one of these in an evening; and the same is true of the lower design. The leaves and stem of the flowers might be made with a running stitch the little buds at the ends in solid embroidery and the rest in an etching stitch. The design at the right is the easiest of all for it is so simple that it would allow you to finish three in an evening. The cost of three of these for a bridge prize would be almost nothing and yet if you were to buy them all finished you would find that they would eat into your budget and perhaps might to be considered.

In one of the smaller illustrations is a circular convention design which may be done in a running stitch or it may be couched and would be attractive for almost anything on which you would wish to have a conventional motif.

Couching Explained
If you do not understand how to do couching you will find the directions for this in the Wonder package among 21 other stitches which are illustrated and explained.

Of course, you know that each of these designs may be used 12 or more times and instead of just 800 designs in the package there are really several thousand and when you consider that the price of these 800 or more motifs is only 49 cents aren’t you just astonished? Every body seems to be for although every home maker who sends for this package expects a good deal of it, it is far beyond her expectations and has proven a great success among those who wish to do their own decoration.

In the other small illustration is shown one of the 12 quilt designs included in the Wonder Package; and you will also find alphabets and plans for monograms. The designers have forgotten anything in the way of a decorative motif.

So Easy to Use
Do you know about how easy it is to apply these designs to paper, paint, metal, glass, pottery, rubber, oil cloth, etc.? All you have to do is to dampen the back of the design, and rub it with the bowl of the spoon or other smooth object. It could not be easier and isn’t it a relief to get away from the bother of a hot iron in transferring.

If you would like to call for this Wonder Package, it may be obtained at the main office of the Detroit News, Second and Lafeyette or the Detroit News Public Service Bureau in either the Majestic Building or the General Motors Building, and the price will be but 49 cents.

If you wish to have it mailed to you the price will be 56 cents (to cover postage) and all you have to do is to fill out the coupon which is in this column for your convenience and send it to the Beauty in the Home Department, The Detroit News. Please send stamps or a money order and no coin through the mail.

Wonder Package Paragraphs
Oh! I Am so glad that I bought that Wonder Package. At first I did not think so much about it, deciding to send for it one at first opportunity and now I am sorry that I did not make an opportunity much sooner for I have only had it a week and it certainly has come in handy. There just isn’t any end to the designs. It seems and I am so glad to have such a handy package in the house. I don’t see how it can be sold for 49c.

The only thing in it that has been so useful is the various types of rose designs; and I picked out those that could be made up quickly and scattered them about over an organdie pillow cover. The organdie was white, the under pillow light blue and I made the flowers in rose, green and yellow. You just can’t imagine how beautiful it is.

I have lots of bits of organdie in the house and I intend to make up a lot of small pillows this summer. When the pieces are not very large, I cut them in strips and join them with narrow insertion and then in each strip I will put two or three rose buds.
Mrs. K.L.W.

I think you are awfully nice to sit down and write that interesting letter about the Wonder Package and I know that there are lots of home makers just like you, who are finding many uses for this handy package.

Quilt Club Corner
The corner is certainly getting more interesting every day and I get so much out of it that I shall have to make a book of "ideas."

I saw a letter in the Corner from Mrs. M.S. asking for a quilting pattern for the Double Wedding Ring. I do not know whether I am the one she refereed to or not but I have sent out several of these to the club members and if she cares to write me or giver her name in the paper will be glad to forward the pattern to her.

Hope “Ellen” lets us know how she gets along with her quilt. Have been wondering about the shrinking myself and probably someone will tell us of her own experience.

Am glad to see so many votes for the “Trip Around the World” quilt. Can hardly wait to get the pattern.
Mrs. Arthur Fisher
Romulus, Michigan

You’ll probably hear from Mrs. M.S. right away, for she will want that quilting pattern. So nice of you to offer it to her and thank you for writing.

Shrinking of material does not seem to bother many of the Corner people for there has been no mention of it.

Horoscope Quilt Patterns No. 26, 27, 28
THIS week, there are to be three leaflets of the Horoscope quilt instead of just one as usually issued. This is because on May 3, there is to be a leaflet containing the pattern for the “Trip Around the World” quilt and as so many were anxious to receive this before the completion of the Horoscope quilt, it has been prepared.

These three leaflets will be send to you upon receipt of your request to the Beauty in the Home Department, The Detroit News, accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Watch the column next week for the notice of the “Trip Around the World” pattern and send for it as quickly as you can after you see it in order that you may be among the first to start this fascinating quilt. I know you will like it.
