This department seeks to give assistance to all who are interested in beautifying their homes and will be glad to answer questions pertaining to interior decoration. In order to serve all who, seek advice promptly no more than three problems will be discussed in any one reply. Readers are invited to write to this department as often as they wish, but to limit each letter to three questions. State your question clearly write on only one side of the paper, enclosing a self-addressed, stamped envelope and address Beauty in the Home department, Detroit News. Letters with their answers will be published for the benefit of all homemakers but names and addresses will not be made public.

Well, it is all ready and waiting for you-the Trip Around the World quilt pattern, and I know that you have been watching for it this week and hoping to see an announcement for it.

(clipping cut-off)...quarter inch squares in ivory on the diagonal. The floor covering is light and I am sorry to say it cannot be changed.

The stove is white with a little black trim and there is a jade green electric iron which folds inot a table.

I thought I would like to have the walls and woodwork painted all the same in a very delicate tint of yellow. What color would you suggest for the cupboards inside? Should I border the line around the panels of the cupboard doors in black or orange, or have any other trimming on the woodwork?

What color would be attractive for the breakfast set? My cannister set is green but am willing to change this and also the curtains if necessary.

Yes, yellow would be just the right tint for the walls, woodwork and and ceiling of your kitchen and if you (clipping cut-off)
...(clipping cut-off) jade green and white checked linen tablecloths would be just right for your breakfast nook. They are very inexpensive and practical.
