The floor covering for the sofa might be of green ground printed linen and the extra pillows covered in gold taffeta, this same tint being used for the interior of the corner cupboard.

Quilt Club Corner
Was very much surprised when I read the letter by Gran in the Corner of today’s paper. I am very sorry but I wrote to Gran some time ago thanking her for the solving box of pieces she sent to me. So perhaps dear Gran you have received my letter and by the way I rent it to Emerson avenue not knowing you had moved. I also sent a card to eh Corner telling the Club I had received a number of letters and pieces from different ones, but did not see it published. Perhaps I missed it and I did not get to hear the broadcasts. I am surely pleased that the Trip Around the World pattern has now so much favor.

I want to thank the many ladies for their exchange of pieces and the cheery letters, and also the ones who called me on the phone, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. Petrie Gran, Mrs. Thompson Mrs. Bowen Mrs. Lamphere and others. Perhaps some day we may meet and express our appreciation personally.

A relative of mine called on Mrs. Petrie and wrote and told me what a lovely person she is, also about her beautiful quilts.

Well, I hope I am square with the Quilt Club for I would not willing hurt anyone’s feelings.

Best of luck for the Corner and members.
Mrs. F.C. Weber
Detroit, Mich.

I am sure Mrs. Weber that the change of address was the cause and no doubt. Gran received it while her letter was on the way to the Corner.

Hope that all of the ladies who have written to each other and made calls will be able to get together during the Contest.

I am very much interested in the letters to the Club and would like to hear from someone in my neighborhood. Have been making a quilt which was not from a News pattern to, of course, I cannot enter it in the contest, but if I have time will try to finish another one.

Hope this brings some news from some one out this way .

Of course, you will have time to finish another quilt before the Contest, so why don’t you decide upon the Trip Around the World. It is so interesting and not a bit difficult. I do hope that you hear from someone in your neighborhood.

Have been waiting to see the announcement of the Trip Around the World pattern in the paper. I surely enjoy reading the letters from the Quilt Club members and will be glad when the contest will be held as I am sure it will be a pretty sight.
Mrs. R.M.D

Well your waiting is all over, Mrs. McD and I do hope that you like the Trip and want to start on it right away. Yes, I am sure the contest will be lovely.

Quilt Club Corner Changes Radio Time
WOULD you like to have letters to the Quilt Club Corner read over the radio? If so, write immediately so that they may be here in time for the broadcast which is at 10:30 every Wednesday over WWJ. Listen in for your own and others and then write and tell the Corner how you like this idea.

Horoscope Quilt Patterns No. 29
Every one who has been working on the Horoscope will be happy to know that there is another pattern ready for the border. Of course, you were given three in one week to make up for the week that was to be used for sending out the “Trip Around the World,” but the border designs are so easy that you have, probably by this time, finished all three and ready for more and here is the 29. You’ll like it too, I am sure.
