The border block for the ninth zodiac sign is a conventional goat that is stamping about ready to go and to be about his affairs.

The grand old man or lay figure of the human being which was always a part of grandmother's almanac had dotted lines radiating from the various parts of his anatomy out to the zodiac signs.

The sign used for Capricorn governs or connects with the knees. The favorite flower is the snowdrop. The fortunate day for Capricorn people is Saturday. The fortunate gem is the moonstone or garnet and the favorite color is green or silvery gray.

The most harmonious person fo a Capricorn zodiac person to live with is the one with the zodiac sign of Virgo. Next comes Taurus and then Scorpio, then Pisces and lastly Cancer.

There does not seem to be any month which has as many characteristics. First there is the love of personal freedom and still there is a desire to meddle in other people's affairs.

Then there is their excessive fear of a rainy day. They are over-cautious, almost miserly. And yet they make the queerest investments.

They are apt to be moody and are often "down in the dumps." Yet they make good teachers. Their sincerity, respect for intellect and patience evidently outweigh their moodiness.

Perhaps the very fact that the creature you are embroidering this week is a sea goat accounts for some of the contradictions. A goat lives on land and not on sea, yet the sign of the zodiac is that of a sea goat.
